This policy explains what personal information China Rail Travel collects through china-railtravel.com, why we collect it and how we look after it.
Who we are
China Rail Travel plans and arranges tours in China for international travellers. For any privacy question, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone or WhatsApp number, your travel plans (destinations, dates, number of travellers, budget, special requests) and the page you sent it from.
When you message us on WhatsApp: the messages and contact details you share there. WhatsApp is operated by Meta under its own privacy policy.
Technical data: our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare suggestions and quotations, and arrange the trip you ask us to book.
If you tick the optional box, to send occasional travel planning news. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored and who receives it
Enquiries are stored on our server in Singapore and emailed to our team mailbox. Emails are delivered by Resend, an email delivery service.
When you book, we share only the details needed with the hotels, guides, transport and attraction providers that deliver your trip.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a booking requires us to keep records longer for accounting or legal reasons.
Cookies
We use essential cookies that remember your language and your cookie choice. If you choose "Accept all", we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, such as pages viewed, country and how you found us. Google processes this data on our behalf. If you choose "Essential only", Google Analytics is not loaded. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you news, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
