Zhejiang

Zhejiang lies on the southern side of the Yangtze River Delta. The West Lake Cultural Landscape in its capital Hangzhou is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with Lingyin Temple and the Longjing tea hills in the mountains to its west.

North of Hangzhou, Jiaxing is home to the water towns of Wuzhen and Xitang, where old houses line the canals and lanterns reflect on the water at night. Zhejiang is often combined with Jiangsu and Shanghai on one East China route, or enjoyed on a few days in Hangzhou alone.
