West Lake from the water
A boat ride offers a different perspective on West Lake's hills and shores, complementing walks along the water. Operation depends on weather; see the daily arrangements.

This 3-day, 2-night route covers Hangzhou. A West Lake cruise, Leifeng Pagoda and Lingyin's Feilai Peak anchor the lake-and-hill visits, with Broken Bridge, Qinghefang and Longjing tea gardens on the final day. It suits travellers wanting scenery, temple surroundings and tea culture within one city, using city transfers and walking.

Explore the wooded setting, rock carvings and streams of Feilai Peak. See the service details for whether Lingyin Temple admission and other charges are included.

Longjing tea gardens and Qinghefang introduce Hangzhou's tea culture and street life beyond the lakeside scenery.

Make your own way to Hangzhou from elsewhere in China or abroad. Meet at Hangzhou East Railway Station at 14:30 for a driver transfer to the hotel, or reimbursement of a taxi from that station to the hotel. Enjoy free time after check-in. No guide or sightseeing vehicle is arranged today. Guests arriving at other stations or the airport make their own way to the hotel.

After breakfast, visit Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak, with a vegetarian buffet lunch at Lingyin. If reservations are full or traffic restrictions prevent the visit, you go to Phase III of Xixi Wetland instead, including a boat ride and electric shuttle, and lunch becomes Hangzhou cuisine. Continue to West Lake, Su Causeway and Viewing Fish at Flower Harbour, take a lake cruise and visit Leifeng Pagoda. Songcheng and the Romance of the Song Dynasty show are optional paid activities.

After breakfast, visit Broken Bridge and Qinghefang, then head to the Longjing tea gardens to try on tea-picking gear, take photos among the tea rows and pose for drone shots. Lunch is a Qianlong Imperial Tea Banquet. Drone photography may be cancelled in bad weather. Tea and other products are sold at the restaurant; buying is entirely optional. After lunch, the group transfers to Hangzhou East Station, so book trains departing after 15:00. If you are leaving from Hangzhou Station or Xiaoshan Airport, make your own way there; we recommend flights after 16:30, adding an hour on public holidays. If you need to leave earlier, tell the guide in advance and make your own way to the station or airport.
