The Presidential Palace, the Great Bao'en Temple site and Nanjing Museum each cover a different period of history. Check reservation requirements and the listed alternatives in case of closures or unavailable bookings.

Make your own way to Nanjing from elsewhere in China or abroad and meet at Nanjing South Station's south square at 13:30. Visit Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone, then enjoy free time and snacks in the Confucius Temple–Qinhuai River area before checking in. Niushou Mountain internal transport is at your own expense.

After breakfast, visit Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace. If parts of the mausoleum are closed or you arrive late, only the open areas are visited; the shuttle costs extra. If the Presidential Palace is closed or sold out, you visit Yuhuatai instead. Lunch is a Nanjing speciality meal, with a complimentary performance except on public holidays and during the summer peak; at busy times, queues or other constraints may move this meal to dinner or to another day. Continue to the Great Bao'en Temple Heritage Park, take an Outer Qinhuai River cruise and enjoy free time in Laomendong.

After breakfast, visit Xuanwu Lake and Nanjing Museum. Guests must make their own museum reservations; if the museum is closed or anyone in the group cannot get a reservation, the whole group visits Yuejiang Tower instead. The group then transfers to Nanjing South Station, so we recommend trains after 14:00. If you are leaving from Nanjing Station or the airport, make your own way there; we recommend trains after 15:00 or flights after 16:00.
