This 5-day, 4-night route covers Jinghong, Jingmai Mountain and Menghai. From Xishuangbanna, travel through the Pu'er forest to Jingmai's tea gardens and Wengji village, then on to Menghai's hot springs, a Dai village and Wild Elephant Valley. It suits friends or family who enjoy tea-growing villages and forests and don't mind intercity drives; cloud seas and wildlife depend on the weather and conditions on the day.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Xishuangbanna | Pickup and Free Time
Travel independently to Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport, then transfer to your hotel for check-in and free time. All three meals are at your own expense today. Staff will contact you in advance to confirm arrival time and the meeting point.
Day 2Pu'er National Forest Park | Jingmai Mountain
After breakfast, travel about 120 km, or two hours, to Pu'er National Forest Park. Explore for about two hours with the electric shuttle included; rhino and red-panda encounters depend on park arrangements. Continue about 210 km, or three hours, to Jingmai Mountain and stay in a guesthouse. Lunch and dinner are at your own expense.

Day 3Jingmai Sunrise, Ancient Tea Gardens and Wengji | Menghai Hot Springs
Watch the sunrise and cloud sea at Jingmai Mountain if weather permits; the activity is cancelled in rain and a cloud sea is not guaranteed. After breakfast, walk through the ancient tea gardens for about two hours and visit Wengji Blang Village for about one hour. Continue to Angsana Hot Spring Hotel in Menghai, with one complimentary hot-spring session for adults. Lunch and dinner are at your own expense.

Day 4Dai Village and Wild Elephant Valley | Free Evening in Jinghong
After breakfast, visit a Dai village for about 120 minutes, then explore Wild Elephant Valley for about 2–3 hours. The optional cable car costs CNY 50 one way or CNY 70 return. Check into your Jinghong hotel. In the evening, you may independently visit Gaozhuang Golden Pagoda, Starlight Night Market and the Six Nations Floating Market. Transport, purchases, lunch and dinner are at your own expense.

Day 5Depart Xishuangbanna
After breakfast, transfer to the airport according to your departure time. Lunch and dinner are at your own expense. No additional hotel night is included.

- Four nights: one in a Wyndham-series hotel or equivalent in Jinghong, one in a Jingmai Mountain guesthouse, one at Angsana Menghai or equivalent, and one at Sheraton, Pullman or Junhao Wyndham in Jinghong or equivalent.
- Four hotel breakfasts; all lunches and dinners are at your own expense.
- A private local vehicle for each booking. Groups of fewer than six adults have a driver-guide who mainly handles driving, tickets and check-in and does not go into attractions with you. Groups of six or more adults get a guide.
- Main admission to the listed attractions and the Pu'er National Forest Park electric shuttle; one complimentary hot-spring session for adults.
