China Rail Journeys & Tailor-Made Tours

Travel between China’s great sights the way locals do — by fast, comfortable trains and private cars. We plan the route, book the seats and hotels, and pair you with guides in each place.

Five days or three weeks, slow and scenic or fast and iconic — you choose the places, the hotel level and the pace. We handle the details on the ground.

“Every route is planned around your dates — not a fixed tour bus.”

Private departures, small groups, or a mix. First-time visitors often start with five to twelve days.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions first-time visitors ask us most. Rules can change, so we confirm the details for your passport and dates before you book.

Do I need a visa to visit China?

It depends on your passport, how long you stay and where you enter. Some nationalities can enter visa-free or use transit visa-free entry, others need a visa in advance. Tell us your passport country and route, and we will check the current rules with you before you book.

How does a private tour work?

Your trip is planned only for you and your group. You choose the dates, cities, hotel level and pace; we arrange the trains, transfers, guides and tickets, and one specialist stays in touch from planning to departure.

Can I change the itinerary?

Yes. Every route on this site is a starting point. You can add or remove days, swap cities or change hotels, and we send an updated plan and quote each time.

How do I pay, and when?

You receive a full itemised quote first. Once you confirm it, you pay a deposit by PayPal to secure the trip; the balance and its due date are shown on your quote. Prices are in US dollars.

How do high-speed train tickets work?

Tickets are issued in the name on your passport, so we need your passport details before booking. Popular routes and holidays sell out early, which is why we book trains as soon as your trip is confirmed. You show the same passport at the station.

How do I pay for things in China?

Most daily payments are made by mobile apps. Many visitors link an international card to Alipay or WeChat Pay before arriving and also carry some cash. Our travel guide explains the setup step by step.

Who is the free airport pickup for?

Travelers who send an inquiry and book a private trip with us get one airport pickup on arrival. We confirm the airport, time and vehicle with your trip plan.

How soon will you reply?

A specialist replies within 24 hours with a first plan or follow-up questions. If you prefer, you can also message us on WhatsApp.
